History/Bio

I was born on December 31, 1989 and I am currently 19 years old. I have lived my entire life in Greenwich, Connecticut along with my four sisters and parents. Before I was even two years old, my parents tell me that I had an unusual fascination with cars. At just fourteen months I was able to spot every Honda on the road simply by the “H” logo on the hubcaps or rear bumper, and would excitedly shout “Huundaacar!”

I became interested in racing at around eight years old, after playing a number of sim-racing games on my computer and reading about racing in books. It was then that I discovered kart racing, and saw it as a good first step towards a racing career.

My first "go kart" was this pedal-powered Ketcar. I would spend hours pushing it up the hills in our neighborhood, and then riding down them as fast as possible. Here I am taking a corner in my driveway, at about 11 years old. (Note the "rumble strips" drawn with chalk) Eventually I felt ready for my own gas powered, "race kart."

Here I am lapping in a concession kart, at an amusement park in North Haven, CT. I knew very well what I wanted to do when I grew up.

After begging my parents to let me try kart racing, and their continued refusals, I began saving my allowance money to buy a kart myself. After nearly three years of meticulous saving, I bought my first real race kart for $1800 and my parents reluctantly agreed to support me.

My first season of club-level karting was at Oakland Valley Race Park, in upstate New York, when I was twelve years old. I raced in the Yamaha Jr. Sportsman class and nearly won the championship, after finishing second by barely one foot in the final race.

In March 2007, I drove a race car for the first time at the Skip Barber 3-day Racing School in Homestead, Florida. After this three day program, I decided that I was ready to move into full-size race cars, and to continue racing with Skip Barber.

Over the summer, I did an Advanced 2-day Skip Barber school at Lime Rock Raceway in Connecticut. I unfortunately had a rather large accident on the first day, but I was unhurt and drove again the next day even faster than before. Later that summer, I also drove a Spec-Miata at a track day at Lime Rock.

Since then, I have driven many different types of vehicles and raced at tracks all throughout the country. I am now looking to make a career out of motor racing, and feel that I could stay involved in the sport for the rest of my life.

Look for me in the headlines...the day will soon come!
